Doug is an experienced trial attorney, specializing in complex commercial litigation. He has tried cases in state and federal court, including high-stakes claims with tens and hundreds of millions of dollars on the line. He has helped guide numerous clients through the litigation process to a successful outcome, whether by settlement or through verdict and appeal—including multiple multimillion-dollar judgments in favor of his clients and successful defenses against similarly significant claims.
Doug attended the University of Chicago Law School, where he graduated with honors. He then served as a Special Assistant State’s Attorney for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in Chicago, Illinois, followed by clerkships for the Colorado State Supreme Court and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma. He has been in private practice ever since, including seven years with an Amlaw 200 law firm prior to joining Cambridge Law. Doug is a distinguished and award-winning writer, and has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star for business litigation in Colorado between 2019 and 2022.
Doug is a proud husband and father of four. He loves skiing in the winter and hiking and mountain biking in the summer. He is also an avid college football fan and aspiring barbecue chef. He is, unfortunately, a terrible golfer.
